Haitian Fire products are part of the Pepperfire Initiative launched to help farmers in developing countries to bring their produce to market.
In 2010, as a result of the Haitian earthquake, we were asked to participate in a project that will see the construction of three food processing plants in Haiti. These plants will enable Haiti to process their produce safely and following HACCP guidelines, we hope within the next five years.
These processing plants will allow Haitians the ability to control their own food security without having to continue to rely on food aid.
It is our belief that in putting people to work in their homeland, feeding themselves adequately, they will be able to better focus on educating their children, giving them the future that has been so elusive to them in the past.
